The Philippines' national hero and martyr

Dr. Jose Rizal’s life is a story of a brave and talented Filipino man. A man who is ready to sacrifice himself just to give freedom and peace to his family and own nation.

Studying Rizal for this semester taught me three values in life. First, the value of education as a stepping stone towards gaining success for myself and for my country. Cause education shall not only stop within the corner the corners of the classroom but shall also extend until the corners of the world. Second, I learned to appreciate the value of nationalism and camaraderie through the life of Rizal. It is only thru the love of our country that we could receive true peace and unity among our fellow Filipino men. His life may be imperfect and he had a lot of flaws but those imperfections led him to achieve freedom from our conquerors. Lastly, no matter how small you start always dream big. Work hard, stay focused, surround yourself with good people and ignore those who try to bring you down.
