The Philippines' national hero and martyr

Dr. Jose Rizal’s life is a story of a brave and talented Filipino man. A man who is ready to sacrifice himself just to give freedom and peace to his family and own nation.

Studying Rizal for this semester taught me three values in life. First, the value of education as a stepping stone towards gaining success for myself and for my country. Cause education shall not only stop within the corner the corners of the classroom but shall also extend until the corners of the world. Second, I learned to appreciate the value of nationalism and camaraderie through the life of Rizal. It is only thru the love of our country that we could receive true peace and unity among our fellow Filipino men. His life may be imperfect and he had a lot of flaws but those imperfections led him to achieve freedom from our conquerors. Lastly, no matter how small you start always dream big. Work hard, stay focused, surround yourself with good people and ignore those who try to bring you down.

I have learned a lot from Rizal

I have learned a lot from Rizal,I learned how to be a fighter to fight what is right no matter how impossible it is like Rizal who fought for the freedom of his country. I learned how to encourage people to help one another and motivate each other like Rizal who established a lot of organizations and groups to make a move or difference. I learned how to defend my words and actions like Rizal who defended himself , his family and his country. I learned how to love myself, my family, my friends and my country like Rizal who loved a lot of girls and showed how deep is his love to his family members. For me Rizal is a real hero some people says he fought for our country using his pen but for me Rizal fought with everything his got, his words, sweat, blood, time etc.. I hope that the next generation would not be like our generation, I hope that they would look up to our national hero and follow his teachings, so that our country will rise back up.

REFLECTION

Rizal thought us that we should do what we want to do even tho that we need to sacrifice our own happiness. Like he did when he left Leonor and his parents without permission just to go in Spain and to do his secret mission. Even its boring their because he is alone and sometimes he miss his parents he still stay there and do his best. He also proved that we can fulfill our dream no matter how big the trials that we will encounter just be positive and do your best. There is always solution in any problem that we will face. Just like the time when Rizal is thinking if he should continue his mission because he is really struggling that time but he didn’t stop, His friends come to help him. Rizal proved that if you are intelligent if you are good in many things whenever you are in other country people there will notice and acknowledged you eve tho you are from other country, you can meet more friends to. As a hero Rizal fight for the country using his words to save us. He prefer to fight using his words to wake up the Filipinos and to sent a message to the Spaniards that what are they doing to us is not good and not humanitarian, he didn’t chose the red path were they think that the war is the only solution to free ourselves to the Spaniards. He is a good man with a great heart even tho that he is easily to fall in love to the girls, there is a one girl that truly make a place in his  heart “Leonor” that he loves the most. He also love his family especially her mother “Teodora”.

The Man who's full of Philosophy

Rizal is known to be one of the most popular heroes in the Philippines. Studying his life is as important as for what he does in our fatherland. He has been molded by his own philosophies; some of these are the Educational, Political and Ethical Philosophy.

Jose Rizal has been blessed with intelligence that's why almost half of his life is spent for education. His philosophy in education is what I admired from him because he believed that education is a very important tool in engaging with social problems especially when the Spaniards colonized the Philippines. The eagerness to be free in the Spanish colonization is seen through his concept of Education; he knew that the only way to fight against them is by filling up the minds of his fellow Filipinos by at least giving them a good education. His purpose in raising a good education is to strengthen the mentality of the Filipino people to save them from the domination of the Spaniards. This is proved when Rizal tried to build schools abroad. This philosophy also served as their book of truth revealing their rights in their own nation. Since education is the foundation of society, Rizal seen it as a weapon to uplift his fellow Filipino people.

One of the factors why Rizal is motivated to fight against the Spaniards is the way they governed the Philippines. Rizal's political philosophy motivated him to stop the injustice rule of the colonizers. His eyes were opened when he saw the abusing Governor-Generals that are corrupt and heartless politicians. He saw how the Filipinos made as their machinery in doing such injustice activities like making them as their slaves and putting the law, polo y servicio and of course the immoral death of Father Gomez, Burgos and Zamora or the Gomburza. The thing that I've really learned from his political point of view is that, the Philippines should not be taken advantage by the political power of Spain but rather it should be developed and civilized for it is the right way to handle a country.

As a man who attained excellent education, the ethical philosophy is very important. This means a person must know what is right or wrong or in other way it is doing what is right and avoiding what is wrong. Rizal's ethical philosophy led him to censure the friars for abusing their position as spiritual leaders and also, censured the priest who preached wrong morality. I've learned from him that the friars and priests must be the one who sets good values towards the people and they must be the leaders in spreading the ethical values in the society so that the people could achieve a decent and more peaceful environment.

Rizal had been done a lot for the Philippines. His philosophies in life led him to courageously fight against the Spaniards. The best thing that I've learned from him is that, don't be afraid to walk or to go in place that full of threat behind you for as long as you don't have any bad intention and for as long as you are on the right side, just go, be brave and continue to walk.

I've learned about Rizal

Rizal's life was truly inspiring story, but sometimes it's annoying because of his "kapogian, chickmagnet" 😂

His life was truly amazing and colorful for the hero's experiences mold him because
Of what his done for our country.

Jose RIzal, for my own insight tells me the value of certain things which is important
For the success of his life that is God, family and self I learned to him that "PAG GUSTO MO MAABOT ANG PANGARAP MO PAG PAGURAN MO!".

LIFE CHOOSE PATHS

I learned that Dr. Jose Rizal's was that he lived a simple one. He did not choose to have a luxurious life like the most of us wanted. Even before he became under surveillance by the Spaniards, he had lived his life as a simple as possible. I strongly believe that once's lifestyle is influence mostly by their parents.I learned from the life of Rizal the importance of taking part of the parents to their children morals. I observed from the life of Rizal was his calmness and ability to think rationaly even in the most complicated circumstances. His advocacy of Philippine Independence is by legal and peacefull way that is why he wrote many books in order to fire-up the revolutionary spirit of Filipinos.

I learned a value of education as a stepping stones towards gaining success for myself and for my country. I made this an encouragement to myself that education shall not only stop within the corners of classrooms but shall extend until the corners of the world. His philosophy was affirmed by his educational attainment, thus giving a strong support of his educational philosophy and giving him the credibility to talk such path towards educational success.

Rizal did not believe in the catholic dogma that salvation was only for the catholics and that outside Christianity. Salvation was not possible even if catholics composed only a small minority of the worlds religious groups. It only shows that Rizal has really taking cold of salvation as a free gift to everyone. I also observed on my readings that Rizal never craved for political power, but instead he serve as a catalyst that silently works great in his own ways at the end of his life, he has remained fighting for freedom, and until his last breathe, he has fought a good fight even though his caused him his life.
